The RN Clinical Supervisor pomotes a positive and professional practice image at Family Healthcare (FHC). Supervises and coordinates clinical activities and staff within FHC to provide a safe work and therapeutic environment. Promotes positive relationships for patients, families, staff, and specialty clinics. Recommends and develops policies and procedures, maintains staffing and other supervisory functions. Performs RN duties regarding safety, medications and patient education.


  1. *Participates effectively as part of the clinic operations team. Demonstrates proactive, problem solving skills. Develops implements and revises individualized, goal directed clinical care to patients.
  2. *Demonstrates an ability to respond to a changing workload in a positive and professional manner. Responds to changing workloads and patient conditions by: remaining calm, making objective assessments, prioritizing, and asking for assistance when appropriate.
  3. *Works closely with the business office staff as it relates to coordination of care and patient and family interactions. Provides direction and guidance as instructed by leadership and/or as appropriate for excellent care and follow up with patients and families.
  4. *Formulates, implements, and evaluates nursing care plans; updates care plans as necessary for the primary care population.
  5. *Ensures individual instruction to patients and families concerning medications, procedures, health and medical needs.  Ensures timely, accurate and professional documentation according to facility policy.
  6. *Coordinates with clinic leadership for staff scheduling, physician support and identification, coordination and resolution of staff issues and may assist with clinical staff timekeeping oversight.
  7. *Responsible for clinical staff in their performance of responsibilities. Demonstrates effective leadership by consistency in words and actions and acting as a role model for others.
  8. *Serves as technical/procedural lead, providing training, coaching and oversight of procedures and therapies as provided. Provides education and training to other providers and care givers as needed. Provides ongoing education to patients and identifies available community resources to assure optimal level of function and care.
  9. *In collaboration with manager, may assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures. Makes recommendations to manager during the budgetary process.
  10. *Responsible for supervision, training, coaching and mentoring of clinical staff.  Upon approval of manager, may assist with the hiring process and preparation and delivery of evaluations and corrective action on clinical staff.
  11. *Responsible for clinical staff ensuring appropriate coverage and quality of care in all locations.


  1. Current Montana RN license required. Primary Care experience preferred.
  2. BSN degree preferred but not required.
  3. Current Healthcare Provider CPR required. ACLS within 90 days of hire.
  4. Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in a clinic setting required.
  5. Minimum of two (2) years of supervisor experience in a healthcare setting required.
  6. Advanced knowledge and ability in the use of spreadsheets, presentation graphics, survey compilation and topical research.
  7. Minimum of one (1) year experience in process improvement and quality assurance preferred.
  8. Working knowledge of clinic reimbursement preferred.
